For starters, the Instax Mini 12 sports a new design, which Fujifilm describes as “airy and cloudlike. Unlike its predecessor, the camera loses the bumps on the right hand side in favour of a more uniformed form factor. Additionally, several functions such as the power switch and Close-Up mode have now been integrated into the device’s new multi-function twist lens for easy accessibility. The lens itself allows for a focus range from 11.8 to 19.7 inches, and there’s also an onboard 0.37x optical viewfinder for framing your shots. Other features offered on Fujifilm’s new instant camera include automatic flash control, automatic exposure, and adjustable shutter speed that ranges from 1/2 to 1/250 seconds. As with its predecessor, the device also comes with a built-in printer on top that supports 62 x 46 mm Instax Mini film, while a shot counter can be found beside its rear battery tray. Speaking of which, the device runs on two AA-size alkaline batteries, which is claimed to let it snap 10 packs worth of Instax Mini film of 10 exposures each. The new Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 camera is now available in Malaysia at a recommended retail price of RM 428, and is offered in five colour options: Lilac Purple, Blossom Pink, Mint Green, Clay White, and Pastel Blue. As mentioned earlier, you can purchase it via the brand’s official online store on Shopee, as well as local authorised distributors such as Harvey Norman, YL Camera and so on.
