To recap, Huawei originally launched the Voyage Blue variant of the Watch Ultimate for the local market back in May this year. The wearable sports a 1.5-inch circular 466 x 466 pixel LTPO AMOLED touchscreen with Sapphire glass protection, which is surrounded by a zirconium-based liquid metal body as well as ceramic bezel and rear case. Additionally, it complies with ISO 22810:2010 and EN 13319 standards, and is also rated at 10 ATM in terms of water resistance. Also onboard are numerous sensors that can track heart rate, ECG, SpO2, air pressure, depth and so on, along with built-in speaker and microphone combo, as well as GPS, NFC and Bluetooth connectivity support.Unlike the existing variant, the Expedition Black model comes with HNBR rubber straps. Features-wise, the both variants of the Huawei Watch Ultimate are equipped with numerous health and fitness tracking tools, typical smartwatch functions, Strava and Runtastic integrations, as well as a new Expedition Mode that uses dual-frequency five-system GNSS positioning to provide accurate mapping and positioning. Meanwhile, powering the wearable is a 530 mAh battery that’s claimed to allow for up to 14 days of typical usage on a single charge, or up to eight days if used actively. Like its initial release in China, you’ll be glad to know that the Expedition Black variant of the Huawei Watch Ultra is also offered at a more affordable price point when compared to the Voyage Blue option. To be more specific, the wearable is confirmed to retail at RM3,299, which is RM500 less than its sibling. (Source: Huawei press release / official website / Lazada)
