This is the first time when Mac Pro has been upgraded with a new chip, ever since it was launched four years ago. Apple has retained the design of the Intel-based Mac Pro but there are several changes on the inside. For starters, the new Mac Pro with M2 Ultra comes with a 24-core CPU, up to 76-core GPU and 192 GB unified memory. With the new M2 Ultra chip, the Mac Pro 2023 is three times faster than the fastest Intel-powered Mac Pro. There are also two HDMI ports, dual 10-gigabit Ethernet ports, and support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. To creators’ delight, the Mac Pro still comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple has also offered seven built-in Afterburner cards with the capability to play 22 streams of 8K ProRes video  The new Mac Pro starts at $6,999 and will be available to order starting today with deliveries starting June 13.
