As stated in its press release, the installation of these charging stations are part of Pos Malaysia’s commitment to advancing sustainable mobility solutions and expanding access to sustainable energy sources throughout Malaysia. The company adds that it also has plans to gradually expand the availability of these chargers to more of its post offices nationwide in the near future. Currently, each of the aforementioned Pos Malaysia branches are now equipped with two chargEV fast charging stations which are available to the public for use. Each one features two 40kW DC CCS2-type nozzles, which are claimed to offer up to 80% charge between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on EV model. Also keep in mind that users are first required to have a chargEV account and its mobile app in order to utilise these charging stations. On a related note, Pos Malaysia recently deployed over 40 electric motorcycles (e-Bikes) to deliver mail and parcels across the Klang Valley. The postal service says it aims to have a combination of more than 200 e-Bikes and 140 electric vans operating nationwide by the end of 2023. (Source: Pos Malaysia press release)
