According to a recent report by Amanz, a listing of the Xiaomi 13 Pro has been spotted in SIRIM’s e-ComM database, indicating its (and possibly the entire series’) imminent arrival for the local market. A screenshot included by the publication also revealed that this particular variant received its approval from the organisation very recently on 2 December 2022. However, it also appears that the device may have been published prematurely, as the listing no longer exists after conducting our own search in the database. Using keywords such as “Xiaomi 13” or “2210132G” returned no results, which is intriguing – especially considering the fact that it was supposedly listed just previously. On that note, Amanz did not state when the discovery was made in their report, so it’s hard to say when exactly the device’s entry was taken down.

Nevertheless, Xiaomi has promised that its next-in-line flagship series will definitely see global rollout, unlike the China-exclusive Xiaomi 12S line-up. Though not the first from the company to feature Leica-enhanced imaging, the upcoming 13 series will officially be the first products of the collaboration to reach other regions. As for specifications, the company has confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, whereas teasers have hinted that the standard and Pro models will sport flat and curved displays respectively. Meanwhile, leakster Yogesh Brar says the Xiaomi 13 Pro will come with up to 12 GB of RAM and a 4,800 mAh battery, which supports 120 W fast charging via USB-C. In the imaging department, it is believed that on the back of the phone is a triple 50 MP camera setup that is headlined by a 1-inch Sony IMX 989 sensor for its primary shooter. The system is also said to be powered by the brand’s new Surge C2 chip, along with enhancements developed by Leica. The tech giant has yet to confirm the revised date for the upcoming flagship series’ launch. That being said, seeing that other Chinese brands have already disclosed new dates for their respective events, it might not be long until Xiaomi makes an official announcement of its own.
