The series consists of the standard Xiaomi 13 as well as the higher-end 13 Pro, with both carrying Leica branding on their camera modules, bringing the engineering partnership to the global stage for the first time. There are also rumours that the Chinese tech giant will be introducing the 13 Lite, a rebranded Civi 2, into the mix during the Barcelona event, but the company has not officially acknowledged a budget-friendly addition to the lineup. To recap, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro both run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and can be configured with a maximum of 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Pro sports a 6.73-inch 3200×1400 LTPO OLED display while the vanilla model has a smaller 6.36-inch 1080p OLED with a non-LTPO panel — both screens have a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. While the entire lineup has the Leica branding, the camera module is where things differ dramatically between the Pro and the standard variant. The Pro features a 50MP primary camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. As for the base Xiaomi 13, it still packs a 50MP main shooter but with a smaller sensor, along with a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide. When it comes to charging, the lineup supports 50W wireless, 10W wireless charging, as well as 120W and 67W wired charging for the 13 Pro and 13 respectively. The Xiaomi 13 series will be launching globally on 26 February at 11PM (local time) and will be introduced to Malaysia on 27 February at 2PM. For reference, the vanilla model starts from CNY3,999 (~RM2,585) in China while the Pro has a starting price of CNY4,999 (~RM3,230). (Source: Xiaomi Malaysia)
